Justin Bieber and Luda

So, as I sat down to post on here my brother turned on the tv and Justin Bieber's video for "Baby" came on. I honestly can't believe how far that kid has come, and to be in a video with Ludacris and Drake before turning 16? Not bad right? For as many haters as that kid has, he's got 20 hardcore fans. I personally think he has talent. I remember my sister showing me his cover of Chris Brown's 'With You' a few years ago on Youtube and I thought he was great! He's from Ontario, as am I, which is even more sweet right? haha. I'm definitely not a hardcore fan but he's got a voice, and he's cute. He's also just an example of some of the many acts that have come out of Canada. Music is my life. It is a passion, a love, an obsession. I've realized that almost all of my favourite bands are Canadian and that to me is incredible. It's also meant that I've been able to see all of them in concert. Hedley, The Latency, Faber Drive, Mariana's Trench, and Ten Second Epic round off my top five favourite bands and yes - they're all Canadian. Well, that's my music rant for today, haha. Today is March 9, a Tuesday. And can I say, 10 more days til Toronto reunion extravaganza! That's right, can totally count the days on my hands! Nothing super exciting occurred today, another beautiful day of weather though which is fantastic. I'm loving it ! :) Okay so two days down, three left of the week. Give me March break already! Okay I lied, one more music rant. So there's this band called Hedley. (The only reason I bring up this next rant is because my friend Felicia bought into what I'm about to describe to you) Okay so, this band's been around for a while. And once upon a time you could see them in the smallest venues, meet them for FREE, take pictures, do whatever you wanted basically! It was awesome. I understand that bands get bigger, their fanbase gets bigger so yes, things change. But, these guys are going on tour within the next few months and they came out with these so called "Amazing Vip Packages" You get a 'meet and greet' with the guys, which I'm thinking will last no longer than 2 minutes seeing as how you'll be in a room with tons of screaming fan girls. You get a shirt, and a cellphone skin I believe. You get a pretty 'VIP pass' which I guess is meant to look cool, oh and if you want pictures with the guys? You have to find four other people to get GROUP pictures with them. How amazing right? The best thing to me is having good seats for the show. So, what I would pay for all of this ? I'd say no more than $100. But the price? $200, plus shipping taxes. Did I purchase these VIP packages? No. It sucked, but I made a decision and as much as I love those guys, and as important they've been to me over the past few years, I did not want to break my bank for a 2 minute meet-and-greet, a shirt, and a group shot with randoms I don't even know. It just sucks because my friend bought into it and I want her to have a good time. It's just so mind boggling and frustrating, and STUPID to think of how different it all is now. How ridiculous it's become. Okay, now I'm done. Promise.

A lyric from a favourite Jack's Mannequin song of mine, Swim

"You've gotta swim. Swim for your life, swim for the music that saves you
when you're not so sure you'll survive. You've gotta swim, and swim when it hurts.
The whole world is watching, you haven't come this far to fall off the earth"

There's a first for everything right ?

Hello world of blogger, and to all you lovely people out there who may or may not be reading! I am definitely new at the whole 'blogging' thing but like the title states - there's a first for everything right? So today is March 8, which is also a Monday. If you know me, then you'll know that Monday's and I usually don't get along. However, this Monday wasn't particularily bad. I was able to drag myself out of bed pretty fast this morning, and I think seeing the sun shining definitely helped to start my day off right! I was even able to wear my sunglasses today, win! It's been warming up the past few days and I'm really hoping it continues so I can say a big au revoir to Winter and a big bonjour to Spring! Oh Spring, it's been way too long. Please come out of hiding? This girl misses you, thanks. So yeah, today wasn't too shabby, pretty uneventful. I wish I could tell you I found $20 on the sidewalk, or that I met someone pretty stellar like Andrew McMahon, but pretty much the only thing today meant to me was being one day closer to March 19, which I am very excited for! I'm getting to re-unite with some pretty amazing friends who I miss dearly! I can not wait to see each of them, it's going to be a spectacularific time! Eleven days ladies! Well, I guess I shall wrap this up for now - until tomorrow. I'm actually looking forward to posting on here. And I just decided now that I will conclude each entry with a quote or lyric because well, they help me out a whole lot! So here's a lyric from a song that's been stuck in my head lately ! Until tomorrow guys and gals! Much Love !
